Mission: Cambodia

A Cambodian Kids Foundation Project
Are you ready?
For the Adventure of a Lifetime?

What is Mission: CAMBODIA?
Mission: Cambodia is a volunteer project run by the Cambodian Kids Foundation. It is an experience unlike any other combining, volunteer work, culture, learning and Khmer History all into one trip.

Volunteers get a chance to live like locals, explore and experience things many tourists cannot. They get to volunteer in an assortment of different projects from schools, to soccer programs, to kindergartens to roof fixing and vegetable garden building.  Trips are tailor made to the group or individual to ensure you get the most out of your time with us.

WHY RUN THESE TRIPS?
We run these Mission: Cambodia trips because we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the way others live, we think its important for people to see that poverty has a face, a family, a story, a smile and a beautiful heart, poverty exists and to the people we work with it exists every day not just everything you wacth a movie set in Africa, or everytime a hungry child appears in an ad on your TV.

WHERE WILL I GO?
Your Mission: Cambodia adventure will take you all over the
country. From the beautiful beaches in Kep, to the hustle and bustle in Phnom Penh, the peaceful farming life in rural villages and then the tourist attractions in Siem Reap (including Angkor Wat).

You will stay in nice hotels, dormitories, huts, and beach side villas, depending on where you are.

For larger groups there is an option of visiting the famous Rabbit Island, on of the most beautiful places Cambodia has to offer, its an absolute paradise.

You will get to experience what life is like for lots of different people in Cambodia, families living in slum areas in Phnom Penh require different help and needs than the people living in rural villages in Kompong Thom.

Modern International School

Welcome to MIS,

Welcome to the Modern International School site. Modern International School, usually referred to as M.I.S. can be found at Number 61, Street 374, Toul Svay Prey II, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. M.I.S. originally opened for business in a nearby location in 2004. Due to ever increasing student enrollments we were forced to move into our new school in 2007, a large modern new building. In the years since M.I.S. opened, student numbers in our English Language classes have risen from around 30 in 2004, to over 500 today. In 2008, due to the demand from parents and students, M.I.S. opened our Khmer School. Although our Khmer school is located in the same building as our English school, both schools are operated independently of each other. Many students now choose to spend their full day with us studying half a day in our English language school and half a day in our Khmer school. At M.I.S. we believe the reason our student numbers have risen so fast, and continue to rise, is that we offer the best value for your money in Phnom Penh. M.I.S. is a friendly school with excellent staff and experienced Native speaking English teachers from all over the world.

Empowering The Future of Cambodia

The Cambodian Kids Foundation is a not for profit organisation and a registered Cambodian NGO. Our foundation aims to educate and empower the people of Cambodia through a number of projects that ensure maximum sustainability and success.

In particular our foundation looks to the future and the creation of  a better Cambodia for its people. We believe that in order to change the future for the better we must nurture and empower the youngest generation, the next leaders of Cambodia. We help the people from a grass roots level, ensuring all of our projects are sustainable and headed by the Khmer people with us working closely beside them.
